Here at Friends on the Road, we are a family run business and it's fair to say we are the "crazy animal lovers!" Just to emphasise this we have 8 dogs and 8 cats that are all rescues, 2 pigs, a parrot, 2 coatis and some chickens!

We take immense pride in looking after all animals, whether that's our own menagerie, helping with rescue animals or on the road with your beloved pets. We have been working in the pet transportation industry for 4 years, ensuring we deliver a very professional service in which animal welfare is our biggest priority.

Chloe, your main driver, is qualified in Animal Management, Veterinary Assisting and Animal First Aid. Chloe started her animal career owning a pet shop at 19 years old. From there she worked for a charity based working farm in Sheffield working as a tutor of Animal Care for young people with additional needs. After 5 years in this field, she went on to live a lifelong dream to work with African wildlife. She spent 3 years in South Africa working on a Cheetah Conservation Project, working with cheetahs, leopards, lions and servals amongst other species. She then worked for numerous years in animal shelters and rescuing animals in Portugal and it is this that led into working in animal transportation, taking rescue animals to their forever homes in the UK. Over the years Chloe has gained invaluable knowledge, skills and confidence in working with animals.
